Lionel Messi is struggling to adapt to French football and is still finding it hard to score goals in the French Ligue 1 for Paris Saint-Germain so far this season, leading to speculations that he may not be a good fit for the club. He joined thr French club under mixed circumstances from Spanish La Liga giants Barcelona and since then, even though there were a lot of exoectetjibs placed on him by fans to oertorm at his new club.
He has failed to meet those expectations and rumors have even been making the rounds as a result. In one of their league games this season, PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino subbed off Messi for an underwhelming performance but he reacted angrily to the decision. His reaction sparked a lot of reactions from fans and that was the first time talks about his potential exit surfaced.
Although talks about him leaving PSG have died down drastically since then, the speculations are still lurking around and are not totally out of the picture yet. A lot of fans believe that the club might have made a mistake by signing Messi after all because they already had a lot of attacking players even before his arrival and him joining the club has now turned to a chaos that should have been avoided.
But of course, there are others who believe that the manager is the one is not capable of integrating the Argentine into the team perfectly. Before joining PSG, Messi received several offers from different clubs in Europe and abroad. Most especially, he got offers from United States Major League Soccer clubs but he eventually chose to sign for PSG. Those United States MLS links have returned but it does not look like he will be leaving the French club anytime soon.
